Dr Schüler is a director of Evexia Psychiatric Day Hospitals and is a founding member and director of Beethoven Psychiatric Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre in Hartbeespoort. Dr Schüler obtained his MBChB degree in 1992 through the University of Pretoria. He completed his internship at Willem Cruywagen Hospital in 1993 after which he worked as a general practitioner and district surgeon.
He took up a post as registrar at Weskoppies Hospital in 1995 and obtained his MMed Psychiatry degree through the University of Pretoria. After qualifying as specialist psychiatrist he accepted a post as a locum consultant in child psychiatry in Worcester, England where he worked during 1999 and 2000.
