July Masango is an Occupational Therapist, he is a Founder of Masango Occupational Therapy Services, and he is affiliated with Evexia Psychiatric Day Hospitals. July graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2012 with his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. He is committed to advocating for people with any form of illness, impairment and/or disability to aid them unravel their innate potential and ensure illimitable lives. July believes that “We are Human Beings, and not Human Doings”. Through therapeutic use of self, as an occupational therapist, July enables people of all ages to unravel their hidden potential, restore function and participate in all areas of their occupations (work, self-care, academics, leisure, social participation, & sleep), with good quality.

Areas of interest

Taking this passion and commitment, July enrolled at the University of Pretoria where he did his Post Graduate diploma in Vocational rehabilitation (PGD Voc. Rehab) and followed this up with his masters in occupational therapy (M.Occ.Ther.). He worked in Mental Health and Vocational Rehabilitation departments in Public and Private settings. He further completed his practical labour law certificate through the University of Cape Town and branched out into the medico-legal environment. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. 

Mr Masango is also involved with Gauteng Province Vocational Rehabilitation Task Team, and he serves at the University of Pretoria, as a Seasonal Lecturer to the 3rd Year Students and Post-Grad programme on Vocational Rehabilitation.
